Chicago’s Mayor Looks At Tiny Homes As Homeless Solution
(Chicago, IL) — Chicago may be the next big city to embrace tiny homes. Mayor Rahm Emanuel last week suggested that the same kind of small homes that are in Los Angeles and Seattle might work for Chicago’s most vulnerable. Emanuel says he thinks Chicago can invest about two million-dollars on tiny homes, and he hopes to create new fees or taxes on places like Airbnb to pay for them.
