(Anne Arundel County, MD) — Capital Gazette shooting suspect Jarrod Ramos is scheduled to appear in court for the first time tomorrow. A grand jury indicted Ramos on 23 charges last week after he was accused of killing five people when he opened fire at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Maryland a month ago. The 38-year-old faces five counts of murder, along with attempted murder, assault and gun crimes. Ramos had previously sued the paper’s publisher for defamation, and lost the suit.
