CDC Watching Measles Outbreak In 21 States
(Undated) — The CDC is keeping its eye on a measles outbreak that covers more than 20 states. The health agency says 107 people have come down with measles. The CDC says this year’s total is likely to be higher than last year, when 118 cases were reported. measlesspreads through the air when infected people cough or sneeze. Symptoms usually show up ten days to two weeks after a person is exposed and last for a week to ten days. Symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and red eyes followed by a rash that typically starts on the face and spreads to the rest of the body.
