Republicans Keep Majority In Senate, But Democrats Flip House
(Washington, DC) — Democrats will control the House, while Republicans are keeping their majority in the Senate. The Democratic Blue Wave swept away Republican control from key House races. One of those was Virginia’s 10th District, where Jennifer Wexton defeated Republican incumbent Barbara Comstock in a district that Hillary Clinton won by ten points in 2016. Dems also picked up key wins in several Florida districts, as well as in Colorado and New York. In the Senate, Republicans flipped key seats in North Dakota and Indiana. In Tennessee, Republican Marsha Blackburn managed to keep retiring Senator Bob Corker’s seat in Republican hands.
