(Washington, DC) — President Trump is declaring an emergency as California deals with sudden and deadly wildfires. A statement from the White House says FEMA is now authorized to coordinate disaster relief efforts and do what it can to mitigate the impact of the fires. Gusty winds have fanned three wildfires in the Golden State. Two of them, the Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire, are in Southern California. The Woolsey Fire has prompted the evacuation of Malibu. The Camp Fire north of Sacramento is blamed for five deaths.
