(Washington, DC) — The TSA says there will be a record number of people flying this Thanksgiving holiday season. TSA Administrator David Pekoske expects to see a five-percent rise in the number of people traveling, which means about 25 million passengers will be screened for flights in the coming days. He says the busiest travel days will be the Friday and Wednesday before the holiday and the Sunday after. Over two-and-a-half million will be traveling on each of those three days alone. New technology will include more automated screening lanes, updated X-ray scanners and biometrics to help verify passengers.
