(Wichita, KS) — A 50-thousand square-foot mural in Kansas is on track to break a Guinness World Record. The mural is being painted on a grain elevator in Wichita. More than 50 people have been involved in the project during the last 18 months. It’s a part of an art and community engagement project called Horizontes. The director of the project, Armando Minjarez, said he wants the world to know that great things come from Kansas. When the mural is finished it will exceed the current record holder, a mural in Spain that is more than 38-thousand square feet.
