UPDATED: Threat Leads To Student Evacuation At Sandy Hook Elementary On Shooting’s Anniversary
(Newtown, CT) — Students are being sent home for the day at Sandy Hook Elementary after a threat was received on the anniversary of the 2012 shooting massacre. It’s not clear if the threat received around 9 o’clock this morning is related to the numerous other threats received at schools and businesses nationwide yesterday. It was on December 14th six years ago that 20 students and six educators were gunned down inside the school. The school was demolished and a new building was put up in its place. Moments of silence were observed in Newtown and other sites this morning in honor of the Sandy Hook Elementary victims.
