U.S. Surgeon General Issues Rare Advisory On Vaping
(Washington, DC) — The U.S. Surgeon General is issuing a rare advisory on indoor vaping. He’s urging cities to impose local bans and more taxes on e-cigarettes because of new data showing that teen vaping rates are skyrocketing. Dr. Jerome Adams issued the advisory 24-hours after the National Institute for Drug Abuse issued numbers showing more than one out of five high school seniors admits vaping a nicotine product in the last 30 days. He’s concerned that e-cigarettes are turning teen vapers into adult smokers.
