Group Pushing To Tear Down Old Pillsbury Plant
(Springfield, IL) — A community group is pushing to get the old Springfield Pillsbury Plant torn down. “Moving Pillsbury Forward” says the decaying plant is a health and safety hazard. The group has made efforts to secure the building, fixing gaping holes in the perimeter fence and adding more lighting outside the structure. Still, representatives of the group say that tearing the building down is the only viable option going forward.
