For Immediate Release
No Public/Private Gatherings; Including Good Friday & Easter Services
Per the stay-at-home Order through April 30, 2020, all Illinois residents are under a statewide stay-at-home Order, which restricts movement for all non-essential outings and prohibits gatherings of 10 people or more.
This includes private and public gatherings, both religious and non-religious, to protect those most vulnerable from COVID-19.
The COVID-19 virus is highly contagious and those 60 years and older, especially those with pre-existing health conditions, are particularly at risk for health complications; including death.
Therefore, no gatherings for Good Friday or Easter are permitted to protect our most vulnerable residents and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Douglas County, IL.
The Douglas County Health Department thanks you in advance for your cooperation.
