The Wabash Fire Protection District is mourning the loss of 21-year-old Mehdi Mourad, who died from injuries sustained in a crash while responding to another accident last night. Mourad lost control of his vehicle and rear-ended a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Karen Smith, of Centralia. She and her 12-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
