Man Arrested For Assaulting Police
(Charleston, IL) — A man is facing charges of assaulting police after they say he tried to break into a home. The incident happened yesterday on Monroe Avenue near 12th Street in Charleston. Authorities say 36-year-old Jeremy Scott was drunk when he tried to get inside a house and kicked officers when they approached, refusing to give them his name. He’s charged with aggravated assault and resisting.
