Congress Reacts To Iran Strike In Iraq
(Washington, DC) — Senators on both sides of the aisle are reacting to Iran’s retaliatory missile strike in Iraq. Louisiana Republican John Kennedy called it “another example of Iran trying to export terrorism.” Delaware Democrat Chris Coons said it’s clear the threat to America’s personnel in the region was escalated by killing Iran’s top general. Massachusetts Democrat Elizabeth Warren believes this is a reminder that the U.S. needs to de-escalate tension in the Middle East. Iran launched more than a dozen missiles at military bases where American troops are stationed. So far, there have been no reports of U.S. casualties.
