U.S. Official Confirms American Military Plane Crashed In Afghanistan
(Kabul) — The Taliban is claiming responsibility after a U.S. military plane crashed in eastern Afghanistan today. Fox News reports a U.S. official confirmed that a communications plane with fewer than five people onboard crashed. A spokesman for the Taliban shared a photo that shows a U.S. Air Force insignia on the charred remains. The photo has not been verified. A spokesman for the Taliban claims they shot down the aircraft, which they claim had high-ranking CIA officers on board.
