Eight Declared Dead In Scottsboro Dock Fire
(Scottsboro, AL) — Authorities in Scottsboro, Alabama say eight people are dead as a result of a dock fire. The fire broke out early this morning at the Jackson County Park boat dock, near the shore, making it difficult for people to get to safety. Seven people were treated for minor injuries and released, while at least 35 boats were destroyed in the blaze. Officials say more may be missing, but it could take several days for dive teams to complete their search.
