Chicago Native Papadopoulos Pleads Guilty To Lying To FBI
(Washington, DC) — A Chicago man who worked as an advisor to President Trump’s campaign is cooperating with investigators after reaching a secret plea deal in the Russia probe. George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty three weeks ago to lying to the FBI about his contact with foreign nationals tied to the Russian government. The agreement was revealed after former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and an associate were indicted on 12 charges. Papadopoulos grew up in suburban Lincolnwood before graduating from Niles West High School and Depaul in 2009.
