Nelson
Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater, East Cantrell Street, Decatur, IL, USA
Multiplatinum recording artists Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, the twin brothers behind the iconic music group NELSON, embody the enduring legacy of America's most extraordinary show business family. As the seventh generation of entertainers, they continue the traditions of excellence and integrity that have characterized their family for over 120 years. From the moment they burst onto the scene with their self-penned debut album, "After The Rain," Matthew and Gunnar Nelson captivated audiences with their striking good looks and trademark long blonde hair. However, it was their exceptional songwriting and commercially savvy rock sound that catapulted them to stardom, solidifying their status as third-generation torchbearers of the Nelson family legacy. In a remarkable achievement, their hit single "(I Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" secured the Nelsons' place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family in history to achieve number one record status in three successive generations.
Throughout their illustrious career, Matthew and Gunnar have continued to impress with their songwriting prowess and electrifying performances. They have written and performed one number one and five top 10 singles, garnered four number one MTV videos, sold over five million records, and enthralled millions of fans across the globe with their magnetic stage presence. Their talent extends far beyond the music industry, as they have proven themselves to be multifaceted entertainers, savvy entrepreneurs, and ambassadors of unwavering positivity and resilience.
Born into the iconic Nelson family, whose matriarch and patriarch were none other than actress Harriet Nelson and bandleader Ozzie Nelson, Matthew and Gunnar were destined for greatness. Their father, the legendary Ricky Nelson, rose to prominence as one of the most influential rock artists of the '50s and '60s, selling over 100 million albums and earning a well-deserved place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Matthew and Gunnar's musical journey began at the age of five, honing their vocal, bass, and drum skills by playing originals in the hayloft above their parents' Studio City California farm. Inspired by their father's current success with his classic song "Garden Party" and the vibrant California country rock movement at the time, the twins dedicated their lives to music. At just 12 years old, they fearlessly took to the stages of the cutthroat L.A. punk and new wave club scene as part of the punky power-pop trio, The Strange Agents. Their concert career was born: two kids cutting heads with musicians twice their age like The Knack, The Go Go’s, and X.
In the face of tragedy, Matthew and Gunnar persevered and emerged stronger than ever. Mere months after their father's untimely death in a plane crash, their then-band, The Nelsons, made history as the first and only unsigned act to perform as the musical guests on TV's Saturday Night Live. Fueled by their unwavering dedication to being an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, Gunnar traded his drumming duties for the guitar, embracing a more active role in the band and blossoming into a proficient guitarist and fluent co-frontman. Guided by writing and production mentor John Boylan (Boston/Linda Ronstadt), the duo immersed themselves into refining their songwriting skills and developing their signature sound. The resulting NELSON sound coalesced a unique blend of rock attitude, pop hooks, country lyrics, and brother harmonies that has resonated with audiences globally for three decades.

Skillet
The Mill Terre Haute, Prairieton Road, Terre Haute, IN, USA
Skillet to perform at The Mill
Tickets to the July 12th performance will go on sale Friday, May 30th at 10am.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind.— Skillet is set to perform at The Mill July 12th, 2025, as part of The Hoosier Lottery Concert Series. Tickets go on sale May 30th at 10am, and are available at TheMillTerreHaute.com.
After an incredible 20 years on Atlantic Records, Skillet have built this new vision entirely by hand, intentionally opting to go independent at the end of their last contract and developing solid indie team. Bolstered and galvanized by the support of a fervent global base, they took advantage of this newfound freedom, writing and recording the album at their own pace on the road and at home as well as in studios across Milwaukee, Canada, and Nashville. The group also tapped the talents of longtime collaborators and producers Brian Howes and Seth Mosely, as well as band member Korey Cooper with YOUTHYEAR/CarloColasacco bringing these ten tracks to life naturally. “We made records on the same label for 20 years, and it was a great experience,” says John. “Since this was the first independent record, it put some pep in my step, so to speak,” he laughs. “We did exactly what we wanted to do. If I was on the road and felt inspired to write, I just did. In the past, we’d make a bunch of ideas and whittle everything down for the album. This time, we only wrote and recorded ten tracks, but it was all we needed.”
Revolution has only extended Skillet’s formidable legacy. As of 2024, the band have received two GRAMMY®Award nominations, picked up a Billboard Music Award, and landed three albums in the Top 5 of the Billboard200. Selling over 22 million units worldwide, they have notched multiplatinum, platinum, or gold RIAA certifications for a total of 12 singles and four full-length albums. Not to mention, they have regularly attracted 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify, boasting “one of the most-streamed rock songs of all-time” with the 5x-platinum “Monster.” Their presence has impressively surged throughout popular culture with syncs by WWE, Marvel, ESPN, and NFL in addition to coverage from USA Today, The New York Times, and more. As a live force of nature, they have touched down on four continents and in 26 countries, packing arenas everywhere from the Middle East to Russia. Not to mention, Skillet expanded their world with the graphic novel series EDEN. The first installment stood out as Z2 Comics’ best-selling book of all-time. Even with all of this history in the rearview, Revolution feels like a new beginning for Skillet.“ I think that the album is poignant, but it's also very confident and inclusive as well. It's a record saying, ‘We have to be willing to stand up for what we believe in—even if it might be unpopular in some circles, but hey, maybe we could have a revolution of love, you know, a revolution of understanding, of tolerance towards people that we don't agree with and come back to some human dignity and respecting people's rights and where they're coming from. And so it's kind of speaking to the division and the polarization that is happening as well, which I think is a really good message and what the whole ‘revolution’ thing is all about. We allude to it on the record cover where there's a Skillet flag, and in the corner it lists Corinthians, 13:13, a verse that says, “Hold onto these things: faith, hope, love. But the greatest is love.”
Skillet is set to perform at The Mill July 12th, 2025, as part of The Hoosier Lottery Concert Series. Tickets go on sale May 30th at 10am, and are available at TheMillTerreHaute.com. Ticket prices are $65 for VIP Standing Pit, $35 for VIP (seats allowed) and $25 for GA (seats allowed). ABOUT BILLY CURRINGTON
Blessed with an easy touch and a fondness for chill vibes, Billy Currington carved out a distinctive place for himself within the contemporary country firmament of the 2000s and 2010s. Currington had his first number one Billboard Country Airplay hit -- the slow-burning, soulful "Must Be Doin' Something Right" -- in 2005 long before the rise of bro-country, but his fondness for good times, beer, and good ol' boys pointed the way toward the sensibility of the 2010s, if not quite the sound. His long streak of chart-toppers showcased a singer as comfortable with a wry story (2006's "Good Directions," 2009's "People Are Crazy") as he was with a glossy love song (2014's "Don't It," which shouldn't be confused with his 2008 hit "Don't"), and he had the sensitivity and humor to make both styles sound convincing. As his career stretched into a second decade, he started to incorporate hints of sleek modern production -- the 2016 chart-topper "It Don't Hurt Liked It Used To" crystalized this evolution -- without losing his signature laid-back style. He released his seventh album, Intuition, in 2021, and kept the momentum going in 2023 with the laid-back "City Don't."

ABOUT TESLA
That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid 80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith.
The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to
date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from Tesla include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000 and recently debuted their new single, “Time To Rock!”
TESLA has endured many of the same taste-changing challenges that affected many in the post grunge world, but through it all, their blue-collar work ethic and dedication to the faithful fan base has helped them not just survive, but thrive. TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.
