This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois, east central Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE…TONIGHT…
Bitterly cold wind chills will prevail across the area tonight
when near record low temperatures could occur. Wind chills by
Monday morning will drop to between 25 and 37 below zero tonight.
Frost bite can occur as quickly as 10 minutes under these extreme
conditions.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY…
Bitterly cold conditions will continue New Year`s Day into Tuesday,
with another chance at near record lows Monday night. Wind chill
temperatures will fall to 25 to 35 degrees below zero at times.
Additional cold wind chills are expected each night Wednesday
night through Friday night.
