According to the MPD, the Mattoon Police Department arrested Myles D. Hensley, 24 years of age of Mattoon, along with Phillip W. Hensley, 46 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine. The arrest occurred on 6/7/2018 at 4:30pm on Marshall Ave near Lane Acres in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 6/7/18, police stopped a vehicle both subjects were traveling in, due to Miles Hensley operating the vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. During the time of the stop, both Miles and Phillip Hensley were alleged to be in possession of Methamphetamine.
Miles Hensley was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. This charge was related to a May 30th 2018 investigation, where Mr. Hensley allegedly sold a motor vehicle, leaving behind his loaded handgun inside the vehicle. During an interview with police on 6/7/18, Miles Hensley allegedly admitted to having been in possession of the handgun, and accidentally leaving it in the motor vehicle he sold on May 30th, 2018. Both Miles and Phillip Hensley were taken to the Coles County Jail.
