Oakland High School, North Teeter Street, Oakland, IL, USA
From the era that brought the world the Rubik's Cube, Max Headroom and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes the "totally awesome" musical Back to the 80's. In the style of movies such as Back to the Future, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Karate Kid, Back to the 80's is a nostalgic romp through the greatest hits of the decade. Back to the 80's tells the story of the 1985 senior class of William Ocean High School, as remembered through the eyes of now thirty-something Corey Palmer.
Tickets will be available at the door (at the Oakland gym): Floor seats: $8 Adults, $5 for Seniors and Students, Bleacher seats: $5 per person

Charleston Carnegie Public Library, Charleston, IL, USA
Young Adults, EIU, and LLC students are invited to drop by the Charleston Carnegie Public Library to create custom buttons to wear and share on Tuesday, May 7, from 4:00-5:00pm. Meet at the adult computers on the top floor (1B by elevator).
If you would like to plan your buttons beforehand to move through the process quicker, use any program (or freehand!) to place your artwork/image in a 1.75 inch circle leaving a small blank space between your art and the circle. Wherever you choose to design your buttons, we can print your pin images in color for free at the library, or you can come with them printed and ready to place in the button maker. We do not have wifi printing so be sure you can forward your designs to print. Limit of 2 buttons per student. Keep it clean, keep it kind!
This is a free program; no library card or ID needed to attend! For further information visit our web site at www.charlestonlibrary.org or call 217-345-1514.
