
The Charleston school board will meet tonight to discuss possible budget cuts of 1.4 million dollars. The board has been meeting the last 4 months and had asked for suggestions of how the districts should address deficits expected within a few years if no changes are made. The closing of Ashmore Elementary School and staff reductions among the district have been discussed. The increase of various fees will also be presented to the board. The School board meeting will take place at the Swickard Auditorium in the Charleston High School and the public is invited to attend.
