The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Coles, Douglas, Edgar, Shelby, Moultrie, Christian, Piatt, Vermilion and Champaign counties.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and tonight, but severe weather is not expected. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible, but the main threat for flash flooding should remain south of I-70.
Locally heavy rainfall will be possible through Thursday afternoon, with total rainfall from today and Thursday of 1 to 2 inches. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible Saturday through Sunday. However severe weather is not expected, additional rainfall this weekend could be a half inch to one inch.
