
As students left for spring break Friday, many staff members left … for good. That’s because of the layoffs and Illinois’ state budget stalemate. Eastern Illinois University president David Glassman called Friday a “sad day” for campus, as 177 employees lost their jobs. Glassman sent an statement out to the university and the public Friday regarding the situation. You can read that statement here.
