State Comptroller Leslie Munger says that when it comes to the state’s stack of unpaid bills, the bad news is getting worse. She told a Senate committee that the backlog of seven-point-six-billion-dollars is more than earlier forecast and could hit ten-billion-dollars by this summer. She testified that there’s also another one-and-a-quarter-billion-dollars owed to vendors that provide social services and to higher education.
