The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded Central Illinois to a “slight” to “marginal” risk for severe weather overnight. The timing looks to be around midnight to 5 AM. There is also the potential for damaging winds and large hail, plus, a few isolated tornadoes could be possible, especially for areas along and west of I-55. Heavy rain is NOT expected.
