A Thursday night head-on collision south of Mattoon ended with three injures.
Police tell WEIU-TV two Mattoon teenagers were involved, driving on County Road 100 North when they drove through a stop sign, colliding with another vehicle at County Road 150 East.
The three people involved were transported to nearby hospitals. Witnesses said one person was taken away by life-flight.
Police say the teen driver of the first vehicle was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign.
