The Charleston Carnegie Public Library are kicking off the “Couch to 5K” meetings, Thursday Night, April 7th! These meetings will be once a week at the Library in Rotary Room A beginning at 6:30 PM. Each week different speakers will be present to discuss a variety of fitness topics to keep everyone motivated. Also, if the weather cooperates, the meetings will finish outside with a group walk/run. You can attend any one of the meetings or all of them and are welcome to bring family and friends.
Here’s a breakdown for the “Couch to 5k” weekly topics:
-April 7 Finding the Right Shoe presented by Rachael Brewer from First To The Finish
-April 14 Running Changed my Life presented by Beth Gillespie
-April 21 Importance of Hydration and Nutrition presented by Paden Eveland
-April 28 SBLHS Center for Healthy Living presented by Lindsey Williamson
-May 5 What To Do the Week of the Race and Recovering After a 5k presented by Erin Howarth, Cross Country Coach at EIU
-May 12 Walking and Running Safety presented by Paden Eveland
