Betty L. Weakly, 88, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Born April 17, 1927 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Elmer C. and Retha W. (Pierson) Hoke. On July 18, 1948 Betty married Robert E. Weakly at the Westervelt E.U.B. Church. Robert preceded her in death on April 6, 2010. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her three children Brad (Karyn) Weakly of Shelbyville, Susan (Jon) Myers of Shelbyville, Shirley (David) Thomas of Rowlett, TX; five grandchildren Erin (Ben) Hein, TerraAnn (Tim) Downs, Curt (Becky) Myers, Kristen Thomas, Caitlin Thomas; granddaughter-in-law Amy Myers; 12 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one sister Helen (Don) Kull of Shelbyville. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two grandsons Matthew Weakly, Shane Myers and a sister Germaine.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
