The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for our entire Illinois/Indiana listening area from 1AM central (2AM eastern), Saturday, April 9 until 9am central and 11am eastern on Saturday morning.
The temperature will be in the mid 20s. Impacts will include new growth of vegetation on sensitive plants and trees will be damaged if actions are not taken to mitigate the effects of the cold conditions.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
