High School students in the 15th Congressional District who have a passion for Art are wanted for the 2016 Congressional Art Competition! Deadline for application is This Friday, April 15th and applications are being accepted by Congressman John Shimkus.
The winning entry will be chosen by a panel from the district and finalists will have their artwork displayed on the congressman’s website and Facebook page! The winning artist will be invited to Washington DC to participate in a ceremony with a free flight for him or her and guest of their choice provided by Southwest Airlines.
Deadline once again, This Friday, so get your submissions in at shimkus.house.gov/art. The website also has all rules and guidelines.
