The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Freeze Warning for the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 12th.
The warning will go into effect at Midnight and last until 9:00 AM Tuesday. The Freeze Warning impacts Cass, Champaign, Christian, Coles, Dewitt, Douglas, Edgar, Fulton, Knox, Logan, Macon, Mason, Mclean, Menard, Morgan, Moultrie, Sangamon, Scott, Shelby, and Vermilion Counties.
We are expected to see temperatures drop to the upper 20’s to low 30’s during the overnight hours. These temperatures will kill crops so be sure to cover sensitive plants or crops or bring inside for protection.
