The top lawmakers in Springfield haven’t met with Governor Bruce Rauner is weeks, and rank and file lawmakers are done waiting. Democrat Will Davis and Republican Bob Pritchard told a crowd at a forum hosted by the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform that legislators recently met to talk about their own budget agenda. Illinois is nine months late with last year’s budget, and is supposed to have a new spending plan by the end of May.
