Mark Kirk Not Planning to Attend Republican National Convention

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk apparently has better things to do than join his fellow Republicans at the convention in Cleveland this summer.  Kirk’s campaign spokesman sent out a statement yesterday saying Kirk wouldn’t be going to the Republican National Convention in July because he’s focused on winning re-election.  Kirk has been targeted as vulnerable by Democrats who are pouring heavy resources into the campaign of Tammy Duckworth.
