EIU’s acting professor, Anne Thibault, has adapted Romeo and Juliet for modern audiences, and members of the community are encouraged to check it out. A retelling of William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Romeo + Juliet takes place in a future, fictional world, but the main themes are still intact. Romeo + Juliet is open to students and members of the community. The show will take place in the Theatre of the Doudna Fine Arts Center at 7:30PM from April 17 through April 23 with an additional show at 2Pm on April 24. General admission is $12, senior admission is $10, and student admission is $5.
