Eastern Illinois University’s “Celebration! A Festival of the Arts” has been cancelled as a result of the lack of appropriations from the state. The festival had been slated to take place this coming weekend and generally is a standard end-of-the-semester festival of the last 27 years. This is the latest blow to the school as a result of the lack of state funding due to the budget impasse.
