The annual Senior Expo will be hosted by the Coles County Council on Aging (CCCoA) at your LifeSpan Center on May 4, 2016. There is no charge to attend and the Expo will begin at 9 am and continue until approximately 1:30 pm. The Senior Expo is sponsored by the CCCoA, as well as, Lincolnland Home Care and Hospice of Sarah Bush Lincoln, Harbor Light Hospice, and Arbor Rose Memory Care Homes.
Come out and visit the exhibits of the 40+ businesses and organizations in attendance from 9:00-11:30am. There will be a complementary lunch provided to the first registered 125 older adults (ages 50 years old or older). No advanced registration will be taken.
There will also be fun activities and educational seminars available:
- 9:15-11:15am – DOOR PRIZES and free Blood Pressure Checks in the Main Level Exhibit Area
- 9:30-10:00am – Fit-2-Serve will be giving a nature presentation on Micro Gardening in the Lowel Level LifeSpan Family Theater
- Also, from 9:30-10:00am – Health Alliance will be presenting a Fraud Awareness mini-seminar in the Upper Level Auditorium
- 10:15-10;45am – U of I Extension’s seminar Talking About the Generations: From “A Little Dab’ll Do You” to “Just Do It!” in the LifeSpan Family Theater (lower level)
- Lion’s Club Hearing Bus will be just outside the Patio area for individuals wanting to have a hearing screening
- GRAND PRIZE Drawing will be held at 11:30am in the Main Level Exhibit Area
- 11:45am-12:15pm – Lunch seating in the Upper Level Auditorium, Craft Room1, and Classroom
- 12:30-1:30pm – BINGO, hosted by Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Systems in the Main Level Exhibit area
