Most know that this week our beloved Prince had passed away on Thursday, April 22nd in his home in Minnesota. He had been one of the many lengendary recording artists of our time. And like many legends we have already lost this year we want to remember them for not only the fame they had, but for how their fame made us non-famous people feel. Prince was one who was still humble, even with his talent for instruments, song writing, and performance art. Now many theaters are going to show their appreciation for all his works by having “Purple Rain” back up on the big screen. The film had been released in 1984 staring Prince and Apollonia Kotero, which also won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. So if you don’t own this movie, or it is all rented out at the video store, you can get tickets for the movie back in theaters.
Here are two theaters you can find showing it:
The Lincoln Square Theatre in downtown Decatur, 141 N. Main Street
Terre Haute’s historic Indiana Theater
