Fundraiser for Raggedy Ann and Andy Statue

A fundraising effort is under way to pay for a statue of Raggedy Ann and Andy in Arcola. The plan is to build a bronze statue that will be displayed in downtown Arcola near the city’s Tourist Information Depot. The goal is to raise the $60-thousand dollars by June 15th. Johnny Gruelle, who created Raggedy Ann and Andy, was born in Arcola.
