State University Workers To Campaign For Higher Education Benefits

Get ready for another campaign-sign in front yards this summer. University employees in Macomb and other university towns across Illinois are hoping to use campaign signs to drive home the benefits of higher education. The black and yellow yard signs say ‘Higher Education Creates Jobs.’ Illinois’ retired university workers’ association is spending 20-thousand dollars on the signs. They say they want to remind taxpayers and lawmakers of all the people who work in higher education.
