An Altamont man faces charges after an accident in Fayette County last night. According to the Illinois State Police, Lucas Ahten was traveling southbound on County Road 2150 east when swerved to avoid hitting an animal. He left the roadway and went out into a grassy area where his car rolled approximately 2 or 3 times. He was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
