The Illinois House is pushing forward with its own state budget. Lawmakers approved a spending plan that would increase funding for K-12 by 700-million dollars. Republicans don’t support the proposal including Senate Leader Christine Radogno whose says it spends seven-billion-dollars more than the state is set to take in. Governor Rauner’s administration says the plan would also require an income tax hike.
