Interim U. of I. chancellor Barbara Wilson has terminated a half-million-dollar public relations contract to develop a branding plan for the flagship campus. She actually dumped the Edelman firm last August, but the “News-Gazette” reports she didn’t publicize the decision until now. The company was paid three-hundred-82-thousand-dollars on a five-hundred-50-thousand-dollar contract to enhance the school’s image prior to a fundraising campaign starting next year. That work will be done instead by a school committee.
