Reverend Cletis Otto Hicks, 73, of Shelbyville went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Shelby Memorial Hospital. Born April 21, 1943 the son of Cletis Wilton Hicks and Edna Louise Moore. Cletis married Cecelia Watkins on July 30, 1994. He served as the Pastor of the House of Expectancy Full Gospel Church in Shelbyville for the past 14 years. He enjoyed gardening, especially with his special helper, Alejandra; but above all he loved the Lord.
Surviving are his wife, Cecelia; children Misty (Bill) Beck of Cowden; Tiffany (Keith) Douglas of Cowden, Cletis “Bobber” Hicks of Shelbyville, Elizabeth (Ahmad Jackson) López of Shelbyville, Audrey López of Shelbyville, Anthony López of Miami, FL; mother-in-law Barbara Watkins; thirteen grandchildren Alejandra, Elaina, Tyler, Cammie, Courtney, Megan, Brett, Brenton, Logan, Ryan, Britney, Alisha and Macy; several great-grandchildren; two sisters Dixie Hale and Patsy (Charlie) Lamb both of Shelbyville. Preceding him in death were his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. with funeral service Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. all at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the House of Expectancy Full Gospel Church, Shelbyville.
