The Illinois State Police will conduct night time patrols and roadside safety checks in Fayette County for the rest of this month (June). The ISP has zero-tolerance for impaired drives, so those who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, driving under the influence, and are not properly buckled up should expect to face the consequences. Illinois State Police District 12 troopers will conduct occupant restraint enforcement patrols in Clay, Cumberland, Effingham and Jasper counties for the rest of this (June) month. Please buckle up, and if you have children in the vehicle, make sure you are complaint with child safety seat laws.
