(Springfield, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner is signing legislation regarding state-issued ID. The proposal aims to put Illinois in compliance with the federal REAL ID Act by creating minimum standards for licenses. In January the federal government gave the state two years to comply with the act, which was passed over a decade ago.
