OSHA has found major safety and health violations by Altamont Ambulance Service. According to the report, five willful, sixteen serious, and three other-than-serious violations were issued. Investigators say the company failed to follow specific guidelines to protect workers from exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other hazards while providing patient care. They face nearly $300,000 in fines. Altamont Ambulance has two weeks to comply, request an informal conference, or contest the findings.
