Howard H. “Herb” Bricker Sr., 77, of Findlay passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Shelby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Born September 22, 1938 in Macon County the son of Howard Lee and Juanita (Hazelrigg) Bricker.
Herb married Janet M. Banning on October 9, 1960. He farmed in the Findlay area most of his life and also owned Herbs Welding and Repair in Findlay where he worked on small tractors and golf carts. He enjoyed golfing and working at the local golf courses. He worked at the Sullivan Country Club for 15 years and was presently at Fox Prairie Golf Club. He served on the Findlay School Board for eight years and was a supporter of Findlay athletics.
Surviving are his wife Janet of Findlay; daughter Jody (Dale) Smith of Shelbyville; sons Herb Jr. (Madeline) Bricker of Sullivan and Rod Bricker of Findlay; two grandsons Isaac (special friend Stacy Shields) Smith and Austin (fiancé Emily Knoles) Smith both of Shelbyville. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother Art. Per Herb’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services.
