Gun traffickers will face tougher punishments in Illinois. Governor Rauner signed a measure into law yesterday that cracks down on people who buy firearms in other states and resell them illegally in Illinois. Anyone caught will now be charged with a felony. Penalties will also be stricter for repeat offenders.
