According to the Illinois State Police, an accident on U.S. 45 south of County Road 1050N in Douglas County, led to serious injuries of a Central Illinois man. ISP says 56-year-old Jeff Landis, of Champaign was northbound when his motorcycle left the roadway to the right. He was not able to regain control and struck a grass embankment and was ejected. Landis was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
